I have been evaluating the Update Service for our Access/VB Application that will be converted to .NET soon.
1. both (Access and .NET) applications should invoke Update service when the application starts up.
2. It should silently download updates and then prompt the user if they wish to install those updates. A user can choose to install at a later time or install when the application is being shut down or install when the application is restarted the next time or install now (and lose any unsaved work)
Can somebody give me some strategies as to how they accomplished the same or something similar to that. I need to have a plan of action on how I would implement update service in my application.
