File Synchronization

How can I keep updating a particular file using File Synchronization? I tried deleting the original update and creating a new one but I don't see the new one as an update. How does FlexNET know whether an File Synchronization update has been applied to the machine?

By way of CRC comparison of the file in the .zip to the one on the local system.
