yes - you can change that image on the dialog. rather than just a logo in the top right hand corner - the image is actually a full banner that runs the length of the dialog.
Simply select it in the Dialog Editor in your Installshield project, then select the file name in the right hand window and point to your own image.
Your image must be a .bmp or .jpg file, and it must be 499 pixels wide by 58 pixels high.

Are o2007pia.msi and o2010pia.msi available on your build machine in the directories listed above?
If you open "Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.1.prq" in the prerequisite editor, select the "Files to include" tab. Then select "Modify" - Does the .NET .exe file exist on your machine in the directory shown?

By default Installshield does not provide the microsoft .msi files for the office prerequisites. It would be necessary for you to locate to add these yourself. Make sure that you have them located in the corresponding directories:
Microsoft Office 2007 PIA.prq: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.0A\Bootstrapper\Packages\Office2007PIARedist\o2007pia.msi
Microsoft Office 2010 PIA.prq: C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallShield\2023\SetupPrerequisites\Microsoft Ofiice 2010 PIA\o2010pia.msi
With regards to the "Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.1.prq" Installshield doesn't have a default prerequisite with this name, we have "Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.1 Full.prq" and "Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.1 Web.prq" If this is a modified .prq file, check that you have the correct .prq in the directory that Installshield is looking, in addition check that the application the prerequisite is attempting to run is also available.

Patches are primarily a way to deliver a small payload to update a few files - as you want to deliver an update which is over 2GB (therefore a small payload is not required) you could look instead at building a delivering an uncompressed Minor upgrade.

Hi - We have a Knowledge Base article for this specific build error. The Summary of which is that the Merge Modules you have included in your project are not in the location that Installshield is looking for them. This may have happened if you have upgraded your project to a newer Installshield Version which does not contain them. Please review the article here: https://community.flexera.com/t5/InstallShield-Knowledge-Base/Build-Error-4075/ta-p/3563

Depending on what SQL version you are targeting - Microsoft mention that they have removed the SQL Native Client from SQL 2022 onwards. They recommend using the new Microsoft OLE DB Driver (MSOLEDBSQL) for SQL Server or the latest Microsoft ODBC Driver for SQL Server going forward

@Sjoshi We can't add conditions to Merge Modules as during build time their contents are "merged" into the installer and added to randomly named components automatically by Installshield. You could however add each Merge Module into its own separate Feature and then add conditions onto the features.
For example, create a custom dialog with a Radio Button Group giving the user a choice of which features (Merge Modules) to install. Each radio button can be set to create a Property if selected, and that property can be used as the condition on the feature.

Within your project, take a look at the following setting here:
MEDIA > Releases > Select your release > Internet tab > Web Type
Select "Web type" = Downloader , and then enter the URL where you will store the files.
After you build, Installshield will create a setup.exe and your .msi package. The .msi package can be stored at the URL provided.
Only the setup.exe is provided to the user, which when run will download and run the .msi from the URL

When Installshield is installed on a machine which already has Visual Studio present, the integration should occur automatically during the installation process. If the integration appears to be broken we have an article explaining the integration process in more detail with steps on how to manually repair it: https://community.flexera.com/t5/InstallShield-Knowledge-Base/Repair-InstallShield-Integration-with-Visual-Studio/ta-p/4433

I don't believe this is something that would be encouraged. The user should be able to uninstall any application from their own machine without being blocked in doing so. In addition password protecting an uninstall could be maliciously used to lock users out of their machines or performing other tasks.
I can understand that in a corporate situation you may not want employees removing software that is essential for the machine - and in cases such as those a Group Policy could be used.

A patch (or Minor upgrade) does not support the removal of a component. To remove a component during an update you will need to change the ProductCode of your installer, which then leans into the realm of Major Upgrades.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/msi/changing-the-product-code "The product code must be changed if any of the following are true for the update:
....A component is removed from an existing feature."
We also have a great page in the Installshield helpnet which shows what can and cannot be achieved in the different Upgrade approaches: https://docs.revenera.com/installshield/helplibrary/MajorMinorSmall.htm#updatingapplications_3928869889_1021412
Your immediate idea, maybe to change the product code and create a Major Upgrade Patch, however this is not a recommended approach by Microsoft: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/msi/applying-major-upgrades-by-patching-the-local-installation-of-the-product
In summary: If you want to remove a component from your installer during an update then the best practice is to create and deploy a Major Upgrade.

Its my understanding that modules that are removed are ones that provide functionality and support for OS's that Installshield no longer supports. You should check that you really need to include a legacy module for your application or if you can remove it.
The "NT Services Object" can be downloaded from your Product and License Centre account:
1. Log into your Product and License Centre account 2. Select "product List" from the menu on the left 3. Select "Installshield" and then your Installshield version 4. Now, in the Product Download page select "Installshield 2023 Installscript Objects"
You can also try to download the file directly here.
