Can I Export and Download My Analytics Data for Offline Use?
Can I Export and Download My Analytics Data for Offline Use?
Yes, Revenera Usage Intelligence allows you to export data offline for processing or integration with third-party BI solutions.
NOTE: Events with previous dates may appear in the recent day’s file in custom data or raw data export. That happens if the events could not be synced with our server on the same day, due to reasons such as lack of Internet connection. For more information, refer to How Does the Usage Intelligence Call Home Protocol Work?
Reporting API
The recommended and most flexible option is by using the Usage Intelligence Reporting API which allows you to query the analytics server and extract various types of statistics or segments of data for any given date range. Details on how to use the API is available in the Usage Intelligence Reporting API v3.0.
Custom Data
For Custom Event Data, you are able to download archives containing the raw custom events that were collected from tracked clients. You can find these archives by logging in to the Usage Intelligence Dashboard and from the menu go to Feature & Event Tracking > Custom Events. This method gives you the ability to download the list of events in the form of a compressed CSV file. For each raw event recorded, the file will contain a timestamp of when the event occurred, the unique Usage Intelligence client id identifying the installation that generated the event as well as all user profile details and the custom string data that you have collected with each event.
JSON Export
Some reports support exporting data in JSON format. These include the Client Profile, Lifetime Event Usage, and Churned User Activity reports.
The export can be initiated from each respective report and, once ready, the data can be accessed by selecting Data Export > Exported Data Files from the menu.
Raw Data Export
Additionally, you may choose to export raw data as collected from your tracked clients that are made available daily in CSV format. This is a paid add-on that needs to be enabled for your product. For more information, see Exporting Raw Data Collected by Usage Intelligence.
