where to enter the File Version(s)
Hi,
the "Project Assistent" has the edit field "Specify your application version:"
For testing I entered here "1.2.3.4".
Now I created a new Setup.exe.
I opened the properties page of the Setup.exe.
There I switched to the version tab.
In the box with the detailed version infos:
Fileversion, Company, internal Name, Product Name, and so on......
The Fileversion has the just entered string "1.2.3.4"
that's ok!
But on the top of the version tab there is also a FileVersion and this Fileversion has another text. Something like 11.500.42618
Where in the InstallShield-IDE can I enter the text for this Fileversion string?
A fast precise answer is very welcome.
Thanks in advance.

... ok, I see.
I compared my Setup.exe with others and they seem to have the same problem. - Not knowing how to changes this first file version number ( wich is the Installshields version number ).
So I will leave it there. - I think in this case it's ok so, because it's seems to be the standard, that the other also do not change this version. -> So I am standard and that's enough 🙂
