version number format restrictions.
We have just upgraded our project to IS 2010 from IS 11.5.
I have just found that out version numbers are no longer valid for product versions in the general infomation tab:
Currently we have version numbers in the format yyyy.x.x e.g 2009.2.5 and have been using this format with version of IS for many years since IS 6.5
Is there a way to bypass the validation in the IS front end and continue to use 4 digit major versions for our install?

It still won't be supported by Windows Installer, even if it does work. That said, you can go to the property manager or direct editor (property table) to adjust the ProductVersion property.
