upgrade a driver in a patch
Hello,
My product v1 installs some files and a driver via a mergemodule (my setup redistribute the msm).
I have to update my product v1 for update one file and the driver (I have a new driver msm version).
I built the new product v2 and created a patch (previous=v1, latest=v2). My problem is that the patch doesn't upgrade the driver: it updates the files in the targetdir, but not in System32\DRVSTORE.
If I do an upgrade (launch directly product v2): the DRVSTORE is updated.
Anybody have a solution for my problem? (I have to deliver a patch, and not an upgrade...)
Thanks
Nathalie
(it's a basic msi project)

Which operating systems do you need to support?
Did the newer driver package passed WHQL and includes a valid .cat file?
Have you created a msi log file and have you checked the systems SetupAPI log files?
