tm symbol in japanese/chinese

Hi, I'm trying to enter tm symbol in the chinese and japanese language stringtable, I can see the TM then when I hit enter it reverts to a ?

Is the TM symbol not supported for those languages in installshield?

The Japanese and Chinese code pages do not support the TM symbol. You should see the same result if you enter the symbol in Notepad.exe, save to an ANSI file, and reopen it.

Those strings aren't in unicode?
