registry LockPermissions problem on Vista

This is very strange, I used to be able to give "Everyone" full control of a registry entry under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

Now, I no longer could. I did not change anything in my project. Could this be caused by a Windows Update on the Vista machine? Is Microsoft preventing installshield to lock permissions under "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion"

I tested the lockpermissions to another registry key under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MyProduct, and it worked as expected.

I'm curious, why do you want to give full control on this registry key for everyone?

It seems to me that is a security lack.
