problem with launch setup.exe

Why doesn't launch setup.exe with less version number,changed package code and same product code?

hi,

I create installations with same product code but different package code and version number to allow upgrade options.I need to show customer that actual installation is less version than installation which is installed on PC.I have in InstaShielld script a function which inform user about this and abort installation.But in this case(when installation with less version is installed and I launch installation with higher version) setup doesn't launch, nothing happend.

Have you defined a minor-upgrade item in the Upgrades view? That should configure setup.exe to display a user prompt for upgrading (if appropriate), and the build-time upgrade validation can alert to possible issues...

No, I dont have defined minor upgrade items beacuse that requires to include setup.exe previous version and I create installation which is possible to update any version which is less like a actual.
