Greetings, we are currently using Installshield 11 and trying to justify going to Installshield 2008. I grabbed the SQL 2005 SP1.prq file from my Installshield 2008 trial and dropped it in the proper folder for Installshield 11.
Doing this allows me to successfully install SQL 2005 as a pre-req of my Installshield 11 project, but the SQL 2005 installation claims to have failed at the pre-req screen. I run into this same issue with the .NET 3.0 prq.
Does Installshield 11 not understand how to interpret the return codes of thse newer pre-reqs or is there something bigger that I should look at?
Apparently I was correct as I rebuilt my project with Installshield 2008 and all pre-reqs installed without reporting failure. Odd way of ensuring that customers upgrade their Installshield software...
