merge Module DMO problem on upgrade to IS 2010
Hi Folks.
I upgraded one of my Installshield projects from Installshield 2009 to Installshield 2010, and am getting the following errors.
File Not Found. An error occured merging Module 'DMO.9B023A3C_3C86_4E4B_90D5_DE42FB9019F7:0' for feature Prod_1.0_Files'
File Not Found. An error occured merging Module 'DMO1033.6496AA57_4ABB_4A5B_A0A9_E712ECFA8092:0' for feature Prod_1.0_Files'
What merge module am I missing and how do I get it?
Cheers,
Mike

I believe this module is included with the MSDE 2000 merge modules. Microsoft recommends that you run MSDE's setup.exe instead, which you can do with a setup prerequisite.

Hi Sheryl,
I don't have MSDE2000 selected as a merge module. I have Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express RTM selected. This compiles without any trouble in another IS 2010 project.

I need to BUMP this up.
Any Merge module experts out there?
I have a feeling this problem has something to do with the upgrade from IS 2009 to IS 2010. The reason I think is that it didn't happen with my other projects which have identical merge modules selected.

I am getting this too using Installshield 2010 SP1.
I have added the Installshield merge module 'MSDE 2000 Distributed Management Objects (DMO)' to my project as I need to supply my software with DMO but when I build it I get the following error;
ISDEV : error -4075: File not found. An error occurred merging Module 'DMO1033.6496AA57_4ABB_4A5B_A0A9_E712ECFA8092:0' for Feature 'Frontend'.
Please can you investigate the problem Flexera?
Thanks.

Problem Resolved
When I selected the DMO merge module, the 'MSDE 2000 DMO Resources (English)' module was automatically selected by IS too, however, when it asked me if I wanted to download the DMO module it did not ask if I wanted to download the Resources module too. This then caused the build to fail.
Downloading the Resources module fixed the problem.
