installshield error (-5006 : 0x80070020)
hi... im not even sure if im using install shield 2010, but i keep on getting this message when i try to install a patch for my new the sims 3 game.
Error Code: -5006 : 0x80070020

This error indicates the setup failed to initialize during support file transfer. Error 0x80070020 indicates "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process." You may want to try deleting all files in the temp folder and temporarily turn off all antivirus, anti-malware, anti-spyware, etc. style utilities and try running the install again.
For further assistance, you may want to contact EA directly. They used InstallShield 2009 (15.0.0.498) to develop and build this setup and would have more information than we do about what the setup is attempting to do.

thanx for your help...
i had two anti-virus softwares up n running. i didnt think anti-virus would count as a running program, but i guess it does.
i juz turned one off and it worked.
