how to generate MSP to other MSI file?

Hi!
I need to create patch to msi file created in diffrent tool.
QuickPatch is not able to create new directory. So I need to prepare msp fle in other way.
I need to add some files, change some existing and add few new directories.
Which way is recommended, is it possible in InstallShield?

Hi

MSI is just a database. You can modify an existing MSI database created without Installshield with Installshield.

You can open your MSI in Direct Edit Mode With Installshield to modify th MSI sources to integrate new files.(not recommended)
You can use a Transorms File to make these changes to your basic MSI.(recommended)
