core dump error on AIX - help needed ASAP

Hi all,

I am using ISMP 11.5 to build installer for our product. I have used bundled jvm - jdk 1.4.

The installer throws following core dump error while installing it on AIX 5.3 ML1 -

Initializing Wizard........ Launching InstallShield
Wizard........./setupaix.bin[19]: 237642 Segmentation
fault(coredump)JVMDG217: Dump Handler is Processing Signal 11 - Please
Wait.JVMDG303: JVM Requesting Java core fileJVMDG304: Java core file
written to
/appl/vendor/product/javacore237642.1177516330.txtJVMDG215
Dump Handler has Processed Exception Signal 11.
....


Anybody have any idea why this error?....

Hello All,

I have found one atricle which has fixes for the above problem (ref. article -Q111262). But it has fixes for ISMP 5.x, Universal x and for InstallShield Universal 10.5.

I didn't get fix for ISMP 11.5 ... 😞

Please reply if anybody faced this problem or knowing anything about it........

It will work for 11.5 as well - do you have SP1? This has the fix for the aix issue!

You can get it from Macrovision!
