How can I access a WindowsService with InstallScript and display a MessaegeBox if the service is stopped (from InstallScript in BASIC MSI Project)?

InstallScript has a small family of functions for working with services; perhaps see if ServiceGetServiceState does what you want. The InstallScript documentation describes that and the other service functions.
