Recently, when my projects install, I have received 'Catastrophic failures' upon trying to copy the data over. Now, this doesn't happen on all machines, just a few new ones. I have uninstalled update by update since I heard a windows update affected this. Now, I finally got to windows installer 4.5, uninstalled that, and my previously uninstallable exe is now installable. I then restore all the other updates sans WI4.5 and it works fine. Is there some kind of incompatibility with IS2008 and WI4.5? Is there anyway to root cause this or is there some kind of patch? Thanks.
