Why only BMP
Hi
Why does IS ony support BMP/IBD format in the dialogs? I will insert a loggo and I need to hava som transparent area becaus the background color of the dialog is diffrent in XP/Vista/Win7/2003/2008.

This is a limitation inherited from Windows Installer.

Well i think it has to do with the bit level. If not using a basic MSI, you can use their more enhanced dialogs.
But with Basic MSI, i'm willing to bet this was Microsoft's implementation that Instsallshield had to follow. Not installshield's lack of features.

Everyone beat me to it, but assuming you're talking about a Basic MSI project, please see the MSI help topic "Bitmap Control": currently MSI supports only BMP and JPEG images.
