VS2013 ISLE: Setting Folder Permissions - Buy Express?
We have just upgraded to Visual Studio 2013 from 2010 and used InstallShield 2013 Limited Edition to import the Deployment Project without immediate success so decided to create a new InstallShieldProject from scratch.
We use the [CommonAppDataFolder] to store our data files and need to change the Folder Permissions to allow User Modify. We have found the Permissions editor and the helpful "This option is not available in InstallShield Limited Edition" message. We tried to wire up a Custom Action to call the Installer Class action we used in the VS Deployment Project but could not pass the folder path parameter.
What is the official workaround to setting Permissions in the Limited Edition version? Guessing it's buy the Express version.

Hi,
Folder permission settings [CommonAppDataFolder] is not available in InstallShield Limited Edition. There is no work around available currently and you may want to purchase a full version of the product.
Please let us know if you need any further assistance on this.
Thanks,
Chaitra

Thank you Chaitra for confirming that we need to purchase the full version to be able to set folder permissions.
