VS 2010 Designer crashes with IS project and .net 3.5
Hi!
Having a Visual Studio 2010 solution consisting of:
- a Windows Forms application in C# for .net 3.5 and
- an InstallShield LE project,
I can no longer use the Visual Designer for forms. Visual Studio crashes when I try to do so.
This is how to reproduce the error using Visual Studio 2010 and InstallShield LE:
- Create an empty C# Windows Forms application in a new solution
- Create an InstallShield LE project and select "add to solution"
- Close the file "Form1" in the Designer
- Change the application target framework in the application project properties on the "application" tab from "4.0 client" to "3.5"
- Reopen "Form1" in the Windows Forms application and click on it
-> Visual Studio crashes
It's got to have something to do with InstallShield, because if I delete the InstallShield project again, the Visual Studio designer runs fine.
Any idea for a solution or a workaround to this problem?
Thanks and best regards
Joerg
