Using IS msi with SMS?
This may be a stupid question, but, I have a single file install built with IS 2008 Basic msi project. I have a customer who wants an SMS installable version... I told them to just do an admin install and get teh raw msi file and that they will have everything they need... but they are telling me the files they get do not work for them... they need something else. I an trying to figure out WHAT? What do I need to do with my Basic msi IS 2008 project to give them an SMS deployable msi?
ANy advice would be greatly appreciated!

With single file install, do you mean a setup.exe or a single .msi file?
If you have a self-extracting setup.exe they will not just need the .msi file but also the CABs or the uncompressed application files that are also included in the setup.exe. A single .msi file might work best for them. You can create this using media type "network", "compress all", and no setup.exe.
