Urgent .NET 3.5/4.0 support issue
Hi,
We are looking for an embedded .NET installer for one of our product which needs .NET Framework installation.
The installer we are looking for needs to provide the functionality below:
• If .NET 4 (Client Profile or Full) is installed then install the .NET 4 version of the application
• If .NET 3.5 SP1 is installed then install the .NET 3.5 SP1 version of the application
• If .NET 3.5 SP1 or .NET 4 are not installed then (1) install .NET 4.0 Client Profile and then (2) install the application
Note: The .NET 4 installer must (1) use the web based installer (which adds less than 1 MB to the installation package size) and (2) must provide accurate progress information including time remaining during installation.
Do your products supply these functions?

Unfortunately this is not really a "forum" kind of question. This is more of a sales issue - and IS folks will be very happy to answer your questions if you contact their sales dept. Check the website for sales links/numbers.
I can tell you that your requirements are probably outside the norm - meaning that not very many people need to do this - so it's unlikely that you will get much feedback.
What I can tell you is that, given time and effort you can pretty much do anything you want with IS. Using Install Script, or custom actions it is probably very possible to do exactly what you want. Do not expect to buy the program and get your work done in a week though (unless you are a programming genius) - the learning curve for IS is fairly steep.
