Unistall files in program files\installshield installation information\GUID
Has any one had difficulty writing the setup.exe, setup.ilg, and other files into the Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\GUID directory.
I have a Basic MSI project that will not create or write any files to that directory.
Is this a limitation of Basic MSI or do I have to set some MSI/System variable to get these files written?
If I cannot get this to work I will have to write my own uninstall application.
Please help.

The files that get written to that directory are uninstallation support for InstallScript and InstallScript MSI projects; Basic MSI projects do not use or need this.
What problem are you actually encountering? Is it that you have a shortcut or other way of launching an uninstallation which is not correct for Basic MSI, or is it that uninstallation doesn't automatically undo InstallScript custom action changes, or something else? Both scenarios will require you to change something; e.g. for the second you'll need to add corresponding uninstall custom actions or behavior.
