Unable to build installation after digitally signing the certificate

I have added a .pfx certifcate in the digitally sign setup wizard of the installshield along with the password.
Though i dont have a pvk file i.e private key file required in the setup.
But after building the installation it gives me error "Failed signing .tmp file".
Can anyoe help me to proceed further inorder to digitally sign a certificate using .pfx file along with password.
