Themes / 2011 / InstallScript MSI
Greetings,
I have recently upgraded from 2010 to 2011 Premier. I am creating quite a few InstallScript MSI’s and want to brand them using themes. When I go to User Interface->Dialogs I only have “Skins” and “All Dialogs”. In a test Basic MSI install I get themes. Are themes not supported in InstallScript MSI’s? That’s kinda what the docs say. The docs only refer to Basic MSI’s. From the help file:
--------------------
Dialog Themes
InstallShield 2011
Project
Dialog themes are available in Basic MSI projects.
Dialog themes are predefined sets of images that give your end-user dialogs a unified and distinctive look.
------------------------------------
So for branding is InstallScript MSI’s we use skins? If so how do you create new skins? What are best practices for branding installs?
Thanks,
Steve

Hi,
Please look for 'Skin Customization Kit'. It is available with the Premier edition. This tool will help you to create skins for Pure InstallScript and InstallScript MSI projects.
