TFS 2012 activation!
running vs2012 on our build server we can build our setup projects, but when TFS 2012 trigger a new build it fails with the message: The product license has expired or has not yet been initialized.
- the build server account has admin rights on the build server.
- builds from vs2012 (on the build server) works.
what to do ???

Make sure that the build service of your TFS is configured to use a correct user account. For example, if you have activated InstallShield for a user named "MyMachine\MyAccount" on the server, follow the steps below:
[LIST=1]
Launch the Team Foundation Server Administration Console
Go to the Build Configuration page
Click the Properties link
Verify that MyMachine\MyAccount is set to the Run the Service as setting
Hope that helps.

Hello,
Can you please confirm that you are trying to activate InstallShield on TFS or trying to integrate with Visual Studio on a single machine?
Thanks,
Chiranjeevi

Hello,
I assume you are using the "Standalone Build" on your TFS build server? A license file (.lic) is required to install the Standalone Build. It can be obtained from the Product & License Center at https://flexerasoftware.subscribenet.com .
During installation of the standalone build, it should ask you for the .lic file. If you didn't have one at install time, it would create a trial install.
Thanks,
Chiranjeevi
