Sinle MSI in Installscript msi project
I just want to confirm - is it really not possible to produce a single MSI output from an Installscript msi project? Must I always produce an executable?

With InstallShield 2009 and MSI 4.5, the new "InstallScript Engine as an Embedded User Interface" functionality supports an InstallScript MSI project packaged as just an MSI file.
Otherwise, please see KB article Q108166, "HOWTO: Deploying an MSI Wrapped with an InstallShield Script-Based Setup.exe".

The answer would be yes and no but if want an unqualified answer, it's No.

No fault of InstallShield... just the `wonderful` planning for the future that we get out of Redmond.
