Setup Complete Success Dialog > Lauch Program: NO ELEVATION SUPPORT
Hi,
I have an application that needs Administrator permissions to run. It has RequireAdministrator execution level it it's manifest (Vista extension). But when I set IS Express 2008 to Run Program on Setup Complete Success Dialog it doesn't start (normally it should ask user for elevation and run the program (or even run the program without elevation prompt since Setup is already running evelated)).
Your site advertises that InstallShield 2008 fully supports Windows Vista, UAC, etc... But it does not.
Please fix this.
Thanks,
Serhiy

Launching applications from the setup complete successs dialog generally does work and other customers are working with it, so I don't think that's necessarily the issue.
The first best step would probably be to get a log file and see what that says to make sure the custom action did fire.
For more information on creating an MSI log file, please reference this article:

Thanks for reply. I agree that it "generally does work ". But it DOES NOT WORK when application requires elevation.
