Setting Checkbox on design time
How can I set the CheckBox to 'checked' as default on design time?
It seems that there is no property that handles that.

A checkbox is checked when a property is present and it's unchecked when the property is deleted. Add the associated property with any value to the property table and it will default to checked

Is this an MSI project or InstallScript (or InstallScript MSI) project? If InstallScript, you'll use CtrlSetState to select a check box in the DLG_INIT case of your custom dialog script.
