ServiceStartService - need to adjust timeout?
The documentation for ServiceStartService says:
To force the function to return after a specific time interval, regardless of whether the service has started, you can change the nStartServiceWaitCount member of the structured variable SERVICE_IS_PARAMS to the appropriate time in seconds.
Is it necessary to do this? Its possible my (in-house created) service will hang or whatnot, will that prevent this function from returning?
If yes, how do you modify SERVICE_IS_PARAMS?
Thanks

Good question, I'd like to know the answer too as it looks like the parameter we need has been removed but not from the documentation.
