SdLogonUserInformation doesn't work if network not plugged in
Using Installscript, I find that SdLogonUserInformation() does not work if there is no network plugged in. When I enter the account name (in the form LOCALMACHINE\myname) and the password, and press Next, I get a pop-up which says "Server not found. Verify that the specified server exists. The server name can not be empty."
When I plug a network cable into the network port, the same login attempt is successful (using LOCALMACHINE\myname again).
Does anyone know why this is? Is there a fix or workaround? I need to install software on laptops which are moved around and not always plugged into a network.

I reported a simliar issue to support a few months ago and they said it was a bug. They created work order IOC-000073808 to address this but who knows when they will get to it.
