In our MSI project we have a custom action that automatically opens the Read Me file at the end of the installation. We decided we'd prefer to have the Read Me checkbox so the customer can elect whether they want to open the Read Me. We removed the custom action and per InstallShield's instructions - added the URL for the Read Me to the ReadMe property in General Information. No checkbox appears - what else are we missing? Outside of the InstallShield "Specifying a Readme File" doc, I see no other documentation. This seems like it should be a no-brainer.
I have the Readme checkbox but it doesn't do anything anymore. I am actively looking to fix this issue so I will update this post with whatever I find that works.
