InstallShield 2010 Service Pack 1 (SP1) includes changes that offer support for the final released versions of Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows Installer 5. It also includes additional changes. It is recommended that all users of InstallShield 2010 Premier, Professional, and Express install this update. If you have not purchased a license for InstallShield, you can install it and use it for a limited number of days without activating it. When you use InstallShield before activating it, it operates in evaluation mode, and some of its functionality is not available. For details, see KB article Q200900. Note that when you activate InstallShield, the evaluation limitations are removed.

The InstallShield 2010 Expansion Pack for Visual Studio 2010 includes changes that offer support for the final released version of Visual Studio 2010 and .NET Framework 4. It also includes additional changes. It is recommended that all users of InstallShield 2010 install this update. For details, see the following Knowledge Base article:
