Re-installing InstallShield 2010 on different machine.
Hi,
I have been using InstallShield 2010 professional on my laptop for sometime and would like to move it to another machine. How can I do this utilizing the Registration/Activation key I already purchased. Do I need special permission from Flexera or can I do this entirely myself?
Thank you,
Josh Schell

It is my understanding that if you uninstall the application from the laptop (providing you are connected to the web) then the license is freed up to be used for an install on another machine.
We ran into a problem a few years back where we had ghost images of our machine and when we reverted the machine to the image another license got used up because a new SID for the machine is created.

Yes, please see the help topics "Returning a License to Your Account on the Activation Server" and "Uninstalling and Reinstalling InstallShield", or KB article Q200878, "Activation of InstallShield 2010".
