Our installer is having some issues, and someone pointed out they might be registry issues, so i'm trying to do some fact finding.
This is using installshield 2019r3:
1. Does an installer built by installshield make use of an vc++ redistributable x64 during its installation, regardless of whether or not the application actually needs it?
2. Is it expected behavior for installshield to check for x64 registries in windows 10, and 11, even if the application is x86?
3. Does Installshield remove any registry entries other than those it created, when using an installer created by installshield?
4. Is there any way for an installshield installer to not put an error or warning when a required file is not present in the source install directory for it to copy over to the destination?
