Problems with upgrading
I want to upgrade a new version of one component, i'm changing the product version, the product code and the package code of the msi, but all the newest version is installing withouth uninstall the oldest version and both versions appear installed.
What can be wrong?
Anyone have some guide about how to upgrade uninstalling the oldest version? I'm doing what i'm reading in forums, but i'm not being able to uninstall the oldest version in newest installations.

Major Upgrade in AdminStudio is very easy.
Be sure that your NEW version :
1. has a new ProductCode
2. Higher Major Version ( X.y)
3. Change Package Code
4. Keep the same UpgradeCode (for administrative purposes)
5. Go to the Upgrades View in Installshield ( located in the Media view Group)
6. Define a major Upgrade by selecting the Upgrade Windows Installer Setup icon.
7. RightClick the icon and select Add Major Upgrade Item
8. In the right section you can upgrade products sharing my Productcode or another one ( you choice (see 4.)
9. In the Product Version section select the behavior:
Windows Installer accepts product-version numbers only in
the form a.b.c. If a product’s Product Version number contains four or more fields (as in 1.2.3.4), only the first three
fields are used when performing product version comparisons.
Done
you can verify by checking the Upgrade Table to see if a row has been added with the information.
More info if you press F1
