Problems setting shortcut comments
Hello:
I'd like to put a comment to the program shortcut. In System Configuration / Shortcuts, I edit the main program shortcut and add some text to the Comments field in the grid at right.
But after installing the product, the shortcut created has the comment field blank. I want to fill this comment because this is what is displayed as a tooltip in the Start button.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks...
Pablo.

The comments field is only used inside the project. Try the field "Description", according to InstallShield help, on Windows 2000 and later, the value entered in this field will be shown as a tooltip.

Hi Jeff:
Thanks for the reply. In Basic MSI Project the Description field is present and works fine but I'm working in a InstallScript Project and there is no Description field to fill. Do you know how I can put a comment in the shortcut in this type of project?
Pablo.

Hi Pablo,
You might try the Shortcut table in the direct editor, it has a description field, but I'm not sure if it will work. 😉
Hope that helps
