Prevent uninstalling MergeModules

Hello guys,

I have a question that how can I prevent removing MergeModules when uninstall my product.

My installer will deploy a MergeModule, but I do not want to remove it when uninstalling my product. How can I do that or is it possible ?

Once it's merged, the components in a merge module are just components. That is, the MSI doesn't know or care whether each component came from a merge module or not.

So, I think the only way to accomplish what you're trying to do is to mark the components in the merge modules as permanent.
