Preserve application created files during uninstall

Hi,

We using installshield to deploy certain 'template' files (installed to a sub folder within application executable folder ) and these are marked as permanent so that the file is not automatically removed during uninstall.

Users also can manually create this kind of template files in the same folder which needs to be preserved during uninstall.

From what I could read from other posts, InstallShield only removes files copied, created during the installation process, but I am not sure why user's files are st

Component which are set to permanent are also removed on uninstall?

Customer created files are also listed in same installdir location? and this custom files are also removed on uninstall?

Do you have any customaction created to delete this installdir location?

Please check in your ism file for removal entry added for this files?

Open ISM file, go to Direct editor --> check for remove file table and check is that specific files are looking added for removal
