Prerequisite needs Gac - Microsoft SQl Server System CLR Types
Hello,
I was wondering if there is a way to check the gac for an assembly of a certain version or higher in a prerequisite condition?
I am trying to write a prerequisite for Microsoft SQl Server System CLR Types for a version 10 +.
Any help would be greatly appreciated regards,
Davidg

We do not currently offer a way to search for assemblies in the GAC; we're tracking this feature request under #IOC-000065266. In the meantime I've only got bad suggestions, such as figuring out and using the hidden actual physical path of the version you might want to install, or turning off failure detection and putting the check in the prerequisite's executable itself.

Thank you,
I will stop looking. It looks like I will create a workaround for this.
