Offline Verification for Vista
Does anyone know of any known issues and work arounds with installing Premier 2009 on Vista?
When installed I got no trial period, the app said the trial period expired and the online verification failed (but I think this is due to my company's firewall).
I am also getting no joy from their "offshore" support (again!!!!). All they say is that I am trying to enter a 2009 Premier serial into a 2009 Professional installation. This has occurred even after I downloaded the sp2 version of the installer from a URL provided by Acresso.
The issue has apparently been escalated to a Support Specialists but that was 3 days ago.
All in all I have not been unable to use the app for over a week now.
One wonders why I paid for such support.
Regards
Mark
P.S. If anyone in Acresso has not slowed down for Christmas and wishes to assist - Further info can be found via #SIOA-000138112

No trial period usually indicates that the product had been evaluated on the machine before.
We have a utility that should help solve this, it is calledtsconfig.exe in the installshield system folder.
However the quickest way to get you up and running is to activate the product.
If when you try to activate you get the error about not being connect to the internet, click the offline activation button. This will allow you to generate an email that you can send us to activate the product. The emails responses are fully automated, and turn around is about 10 minutes.
If that does not work, or you do not get a response from the system in 10 mintues, please email me directly at mmarino@acresso.com and we will get this working. Please send the generated XML so I can see what is going on.
Please also run tsconfig.exe /info and send me the text generated. That will help track down what is going on.
Thanks,
Mike

Thanks Mike,
I finally recieved an email with a valid license.response file. Sorry to resort to such much measures but sometimes it is the only way to get the support one needs.
Also I think that the cause of my issues is that I installed the IS Premier then SP2 without running the app in between. That is the only thing that I did outside of the norm.
Thanks again.
Regards
