When creating a multi language setup for my application, I read in the following MSDN article that the product GUID must be different for each localized setup?

But I am not sure why Microsoft recommends this and the article fails to substantiate it (if I am right)... Anybody familiar with MSI can help me to find out the reason why we need to use different product GUID for the localized when we are changing only the language (after all its just strings :-()???

I think you needn't change the product code.

Yes... for my previous applications I have not changed the Product GUID... But what I need is the reason why Microsoft recommends to change the GUID???
