I had to upgrade a 10.5 package to 2010. It had just a few custom actions to set a directory and a property. Everything on the install of 2010 to the package conversion went smooth. i built the products (standalone & network). When i tested the standalone on my pc, i received an error message "The location of your name file can not be determined. the application can not run". I'm at a loss. i've read a host of documentation from the knowledge base but i can't find the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.:confused:
Is the message displayed by the installer or by the application after it's installed?
What sort of installer project is this? It sounds like an MSI type, so does MSI validation warn of anything? Does creating an MSI log file tell you anything more?
