I have been tasked with maintaining and updating an InstallScript which orginated from a very long time ago (~2003). It installs a tool used by another application.
I have FeatureSelectItem() logic to select and de-select 2 features that install the same file but different versions depending on the main product's major version value. I have components associated to these Features and the file added to each component.
My problem is that after building the installer, neither feature is part of the CAB/HDR as a Feature. If I add the component to an existing feature they show up in the CAB. But if I place them into their own Feature then they are not added.
