Migration IS 2013 to IS 2020

How do you see the chance of Installshield 2013 projects running directly with Installshield 2020? Can I migrate these projects directly?

Hi @rolf_wey ,

  • Yes you can open IS 2013 project in IS 2020,where Installshield will create IS2013's backup file with <Project_Name>.7XX.
  • Backward support allows you to still use your old project files if required.
  • Since the gap is long,be cautious about setup getting created.Make sure things work as expected.
  • Execute the setup.exe with /debuglog to figure out the issues if you face any.
