Merge Module and Major Upgrade

Hi there.

I have an Installscript MSI project which contains several MSMs developed in house using VS2005. These contain a mixture of our own files which have changed (new filesize and version) and third party files which don't change.

The problem I'm experiencing is that during major upgrades our own files get upgraded but the third party files are removed.

The merge modules work perfectly during a first time installation. They're fairly basic merge modules and just install a few binaries to the GAC.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
