Major upgrade question
I have InstallShield 12 and InstallScript MSI project. When I upgrade the previous installation of my application on 64-bit Vista using the major upgrade, there are two entries in Add/Remove programs (the same installation works fine on 32-bit Vista). The old entry has not been removed. I'm not using any REGDB_OPTIONS.
Digging into the threads I found out that this has been an issue since InstallShield 11.5 and has not been fixed in InstallShield 12. The tracking number of the issue is: IOC-000052935 (http://community.acresso.com/archive/index.php?t-161740.html )
I was unable to find this IOC-000052935 number in any released document (either Known Issues or Bugs Bulletin) for InstallShield 2008 and 2009.
Does anybody know is this issue has been fixed in InstallShield 2008 or 2009?
Thanks in advance.
Katerina

I am using IS 2009, and just today noticed the same problem occurs during a major upgrade of my Installscript MSI project. So unfortunately, it appears not... 😞

There is a fix, at least in IS 2009. I haven't yet implemented it, but here's the link:

Small consolation to users of earlier versions, but an answer to Katerina's previous question.
