Major upgrade, install over previous version
Hi, I'm using IS 2008, Basic MSI,
I would like to create a major upgrade that won't remove the previously installed version but install over it instead.
In the Installshield help it is stated that "It is also possible to have a major upgrade first install over the earlier version and then remove any unused files." Does anybody know, how to achieve this.
Thanks in advance, H.

Yes, the behavior is different based on the placement of the RemoveExistingProducts action; in the Upgrades view, selecting the "Upgrade Windows Installer Setup" icon and looking in the Common tab will expose this setting.
