Looking on information on how to change InstallShield 2018 default update port.
Hello All,
My security team is currently blocking the default ports for InstallShield products as port 80 or 8080. However, I am being asked to change it port to another port, but I am unable to find the setting or file where I am able to change (update) the standard port. Needless to say all my updates and downloads continue to not function.
Anyone know how?
Thanks,
Richard

Hi @The1RadFox ,
To get more clarity, can you please clarify when you mention "default ports for InstallShield products" is it only IIS related applications/websites or something else?
If it IIS,you can refer the below page:

Thanks,

Hello Jenifer,
I am not trying to update an MSI, but I am trying to update InstallShield 2018. I must change the default ports used by InstallShield 2018. Is there a way to change the default update ports?
Thanks,
Richard (The1RadFox)

Hi @The1RadFox ,
Below KB article talks about the issue that you undergo and suggests solution like adding Server line entry like Server=http://spock:80/
in {Product_Guid}.ini which you could find under C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet\Connect\Database.

Let me know if that helps,
Thanks,
Jenifer
