Log file in INSTALLDIR
Hello,
I have an InstallShield 2011 Basic MSI project that I'm working on. One of the requirements for the project is that the log file that is produced ends up in the installed directory. Creating the log file with location INSTALLDIR doesn't work since when the log file is started INSTALLDIR hasn't been set yet. Another strategy is to either move or copy the log file into INSTALLDIR. I've tried creating the log in a temporary location and then moving it to INSTALLDIR using the MoveFile table in the Direct Editor. This didn't work.
I'm hoping someone else has worked through this problem or that someone has an idea for how to do this.
Thanks for reading.

Windows Installer doesn't support this "requirement". Reject it.

Alright thanks, I'll talk to my boss about it. I was hoping that there might be some sort of workaround, but I guess not.
